Biographical/Historical note
The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs is a rural youth organisation in the United Kingdom. The Federation covers various Young Farmers' Clubs throughout England and Wales, helping support young people in agriculture and the countryside. The first Young Farmers’ Club opened in 1921 in Hemyock, Devon. Young Farmers is a voluntary organisation with a membership age range of 10 to 26 years.
Chepstow Young Farmers' Club was formed out of Chepstow Farmers' Club, in May 1937. (The Chepstow Farmers' Club had been founded c.1841).
The Monmouthshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs began on 28 April 1938.
Wentwood Young Farmers' Club started in 2000 and formed from existing members from the Magor and Undy, Llangwm and Llansoy and Chepstow clubs.
