Biographical/Historical note
In 2010 Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council received a plannning application from Six Bells Coal Company Ltd. for removing coal seams and outcrop coal in areas which adjoined tip reclamation for Six Bells and Vivian Tip Complex.
The watching brief was carried out by Neil Phillips of APAC Ltd. in response to a recommendation by Glamorgan Gwent Archaeological Trust.
