Biographical/Historical note
The Govilon Twinning Association was formed in 1983 with the purpose of twinning with a town abroad. Govilon was twinned with Missillac in France for 30 years, until the Association ceased in 2014. During this time exchange visits between the two areas took place and young people within the areas were the prime beneficiaries of this.
